About the project
Erin sells property in Nashville and came to me to rebuild her site. Two things shape everything else on a project like this. A listing is judged in about as long as it takes to scroll past it, so the photography has to be the loudest thing on the page. And a site an agent cannot update herself stops being current the week after it launches. So the site is modeled as content rather than as pages: listings, neighborhoods and posts are all collections, and putting a new one up is filling in a form.
- Listings, neighborhoods and posts modeled as CMS collections
- A separate route for buyers, for sellers and for short-term rental investors
- Neighborhood pages carrying the local detail those searches ask for
- A home valuation path for someone not ready to call yet
- Handover she runs herself, with no developer in the loop

What I actually did
- 01
Model the content before the layout
Properties, neighborhoods and blog posts became structured collections shaped around how she already describes a listing, rather than pages assembled by hand. Everything downstream, the templates, the internal links, the related listings, inherits that structure instead of being rebuilt each time.
- 02
One page per intent
Buying, selling, investing in short-term rentals and finding out what a home is worth are four different questions arriving from four different searches. Each got its own page and its own path through the site, rather than one services page trying to answer all of them.
- 03
Hand it over properly
The point of the CMS is that it outlives the launch. Fields are named the way she talks about a property, so adding a listing does not need a developer, a ticket, or a memory of how the last one was done.
“Their innovative thinking and clear strategy elevated our brand far beyond expectations. The collaboration was smooth, deadlines were met with ease, and the end results consistently surpassed what we envisioned with the best outcome.”

Let's talk
Send me a message on Upwork and tell me what you are working on. If you already have a site and it is not doing its job, that is the more interesting conversation.
New builds, redesigns, and taking over a site somebody else left half finished.
